Obituary

Juanita M. Kinney, formerly of West Middlesex-Mercer Rd., Shenango Township, passed away at 10:25 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2018, in St. Paul's Home, West Salem Township, where she was a resident for the past six years.  She was 83.

Mrs. Kinney was born December 29, 1934, in Springville, NY, a daughter of the late Warren and Margy (Lockwood) Colley.  She was a 1956 graduate of Bradford (PA) High School.  Juanita retired from the West Middlesex Post Office where she was a rural mail carrier for more than thirty years.

A homemaker, she was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of West Middlesex.  Juanita enjoyed her job and baking and cooking.  Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren and spending memorable moments watching them involved in softball, gymnastics, school plays and motocross races.

Her husband of 55 years, George William "Hubbard" Kinney, Sr. passed away March 4, 2010.

Surviving are: four children, Lynne A. Srnec and her husband, Jeff, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; Dale E. Kinney and his wife, Joyce, of Minnetonka, Minnesota; George W. Kinney, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, of Fredonia; and Jeanne A. Ross and her husband, William, of Hookstown, PA; 10 grandchildren, Kathryn Zeier, David Srnec, James Srnec, Jason Kinney, Angela Connally, Ben Kinney, Brian Kinney, Amanda Kinney, William Ross and Devin Ross; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Midge Persichini, of Meadville, PA; and Jesse Hutcherson and her husband, Jerry, of Arlington, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband; Juanita was preceded in death by a daughter Leanne Marie Kinney; a sister, Lola Norris; and a brother, Alan Colley.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Calling hour will be from noon until the time of service on Friday, September 28, 2018, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, in the funeral home, with Rev. William Brownlee, Pastor of Central Community Church, Transfer, officiating.

Interment: Haywood Cemetery, West Middlesex.
