A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday for Joyce Ann Rhodes of Meek Street, Sharon. She passed away unexpectedly at 11:23 p.m. Friday (10-14-11) in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 73.
Mrs. Rhodes was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Sharon, a daughter of George and Alice Dresch Law.
A lifelong city resident, she graduated from Sharon High School.
She belonged to St. Joseph's Church, where she was a member of its quilters group. Mrs. Rhodes was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, Dallas Cowboys and Mahoning Valley Scrappers.
Joyce was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Her husband, Charles N. 'Bud' Rhodes, whom she married July 25, 1958, survives at home. Also surviving are: her son, Michael D. Rhodes; and her daughter, Lisa Robinson and her husband Dan, all Sharon; a son, Mark Rhodes and his wife Janice, Pearl River, N.Y.; a daughter, Lori Margala and her husband Eric, Ohio; a son, Kevin Rhodes, at home; two brothers, Charles Law, San Diego; and George Law and his wife Mary Ann, Clark; and a sister, Susan Moore and her husband Robert, Canfield, Ohio. She also leaves three grandchildren, Ryan Rhodes, Hannah Robinson and Doug Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
