Joyce Elaine Diurba, Hunter Street, South Pymatuning Twp., passed away peacefully at her home with family at her side at 4:55 a.m. on Tuesday (7-28-09) following an extended illness. She was 68.
She was born on April 6, 1941 on Buckeye Drive in South Pymatuning Township, the daughter of Kenneth and Bernice Ramsey Swartz.
She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1960.
A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible. She also enjoyed trips to local casino's, baking, fishing, and crocheting in her earlier years.
Her husband, Frank J. Diurba, whom she married on April 23, 1966, survives at the residence.
Also surviving are her children, Jeffrey B. Diurba and his wife Dr. Joy Sakonyi of Pittsburgh, Jason Diurba of Sharpsville, Jennifer L. Shealy and her husband Melvin of Sharon, five grandchildren, Samantha Winklevoss, Sabrina Diurba, Zachary Carroll, Ava Belle and Shea Diurba, a sister, Margaret 'Peg' Fustos, Sarasota Florida; two brothers, Kenneth Swartz and his wife Beth of Westfield, Massachusetts, and Ronald Swartz of Transfer.
Her parents preceded her in death.

Services: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (7-31-09) in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James A. Reardon, Joyce's nephew and pastor of St. John Parish, Tidioute, Pa officiating.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Sharpsville.
