Joshua Joseph Gurrera, Tuttle Lane, Girard, Ohio; formerly of Sharpsville, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Sunday morning, September 13, 2015, in his home. He was 35. Mr. Gurrera was born October 9, 1979, in Sharon, a son of James and Patricia (Pears) Gurrera. He attended Sharpsville High School, Kaplan University and Butler Community College. Josh was an auditor for Quality Inn, Hermitage, for eight years and previously worked for three years at Castle Cheese, Inc. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping, riding a three wheeler and traveling. Surviving are: his wife at home, the former Katherine "Kathy" Caroline Brenneman, whom he married February 1, 2003; his mother, Patricia "Patty" Marrie, Sharpsville; his father, James Gurrera, Mercer; a daughter, Cora Ann Gurrera, at home; two sons, Caleb and Jonas Gurrera; a granddaughter, Evra Reeves; a sister, Danielle Dawn "Dee Dee" Marrie, Sharpsville; a brother, John Vannoy and his wife Debbie, Sharon; a step-brother, John Marrie, Sharpsville; a step-sister, Jodie Schuller and her husband Marty, Sharpsville; his mother-in-law, Barbara Brenneman, Franklin, PA; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and brothers- and sisters-in-law. Josh was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Marrie; grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Pears and Joseph and Cora Gurrera; and his father-in-law, Cliff Brenneman. A loveable guy, Josh will be remembered for his big heart and contagious laugh. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday, September 17, 2015, in the Quality Inn, Hermitage. A celebration of Joshua's life service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Quality Inn, Hermitage, with Rev. Wade Barto, pastor of West Middlesex United Methodist Church, officiating.
