Josephine M. Quinn, 2400 Garden Way Hermitage; formerly a ten year resident of Whispering Oaks, also Hermitage; and a longtime resident of Franklin St., Sharpsville, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 92. Mrs. Quinn was born October 26, 1922, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, a daughter of Benjamin and Lucy (Saltaformaggio) Mosca. She was a 1939 graduate of Lake Charles High School and moved to the area in the late 1940's. A homemaker, she was an active member of St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville. Her husband, George L. "Bud" Quinn, whom she married December 14, 1945, passed away June 9, 1990. Surviving are: two daughters, Diane Vranich and her companion Ken Sutton, Hermitage; and Christine Rook and her husband Robert, El Paso, TX; six grandchildren, Stacey Cramer and her husband Barry; Jaime Shamo and her husband Lee; Bradley Quinn and his wife Rachel; Shawn Quinn; and Ashley and Austin Rook; 5 great grandchildren, Erin Hoffacker; Rachel and Jessica Cramer; and Caitlyn and Aidan Shamo; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her husband, Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William G. Quinn; two sisters, Mary LaRocca and Angeline McNelis; and five brothers, Morris, Joseph, Benjamin, Tony and Louis Mosca. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Bartholomew Church, 311 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville, PA 16150; or to a charity of the donor's choice. Calling hours will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon. Mass of Christian burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015, in St. Bartholomew Church, Sharpsville, with Rev. Jeffrey Noble, pastor of Church of Notre Dame, as celebrant.
