Joseph S. Votino, Cherry Lane, Hubbard, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 7:45 a.m.Wednesday (3-2-16) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System following a two year illness. He was 81.

He was born in Sharon, December 26, 1934 one of five children born to Albert Joseph and Helen Vendemia Votino.

A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Brookfield High School.

He worked at Hubbard's US Can and Sherwin Williams for over 35 years and simultaneously owned and operated the former Votino's Floral Shop, Masury Ohio.

He later owned and operated Tony's Pizza Kitchen, Sharon, a business his family will continue to own and operate for many years to come.

Mr. Votino is a member of Sacred Heart Church, Sharon.

He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved attending his children's and grandchildren's school related sporting events over the years, he will be sadly missed by all.

His wife the former Jean J. Altiere whom he married June 12, 1954, survives at home.

He leaves his daughter, Cathy McElhinny and her husband Patrick, Hermitage, his two sons, Joseph Votino, Masury, and Robert "Bobby" Votino and his wife Kimberly, Hermitage, his grandchildren, Ryan McElhinny (Michelle), Danny McElhinny (Brittani), Courty and Matthew Votino, and his two great grandchildren, Gavin and Landen McElhinny, a sister Mickie Simmons, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John J. Votino, and Albert Votino, Jr., and his sister, Mary Votino.

Calling hours: 10:30 until the time of service Saturday (3-5-16) in Notre Dame Church, 2325 Highland Road, Hermitage.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Saturday (3-5-16) in the church with the Rev. Jeffrey J. Noble, pastor as celebrant.

Internment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Hermitage.
