Obituary

Joseph P. Aiello, Nugents Convalescent Home, formerly of 1200 Division St., Sharon, passed away peacefully at 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday in the home. He was 91.
Mr. Aiello was born October 28, 1918 in Monongahela, Pa., to Peter and Mary Vaccaro Aiello.
He attended Brookfield Schools.
Joe retired in 1984 from General American Transportation Corporation, Masury, OH where he was a Railroad Engineer for over 40 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Sharon.
He was a member of the American Heart Association and enjoyed gardening, boating, and water skiing at Mosquito Lake and the Shenango Dam. He also enjoyed golfing and spending time outside in the sunshine. He was well known through out the community for his kind generosity to all.
As a young man, he traveled to the state of Idaho and worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps assisting in the conservation and development of natural resources . His wife, Levvas Cameron, whom he married on December 20, 1947 passed away on August 23, 1979.
He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Osborne, Dixon, Iowa and Gayle Wininsky and her husband Michael, Sharon; his brother, Anthony Aiello, Norwalk, OH; four grandchildren, Christopher Osborne and his wife Melissa, Michelle Osborne, Johannah Wininsky and Adrianne Wininsky-Tomlin and her husband Ben Tomlin. Also surviving are three great grandchildren, Adam, Aaron and Andrew Osborne; and a sister-in-law Agnes Aiello, Farrell.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by infant twin children, two brothers, Dominic and Frank Aiello, and four sisters, Nellie Frado, Rose Bruno, Angela Kosa, and "Jennie" Marino.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
Calling Hours: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday (1-21-10) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 East State Street in Sharon.

Services: Funeral 10 a.m. Friday (1-22-10) in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Phillip D. Beck pastor of the Central Community Church, Transfer officiating.
