Joseph P. Monda of 1330 Kimberly Rd. Hermitage, PA. formerly of Hall Ave. in Sharon, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Sharon Regional Health System. He was 78.

Mr. Monda was born in Thomas, WV on May 25, 1931, a son of Joseph and Mary Combine Monda. His family moved to Sharon in 1949.

He is a member of St. Joseph's Church. Joseph was a true fan of all sports and enjoyed learning and knowing the statistics of the teams and players.

Survivors include: his aunt, Pauline Combine of Hermitage, who lovingly took care of him for the past 18 years; an Uncle, Paul Monda of Missouri; he is also survived by many cousins.

Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by numerous maternal and paternal aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. till the time of service on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at St. Rose Cemetery Chapel.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Thomas J. Dugan, senior associate pastor of St. Joseph's Church.

Internment will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
