Joseph Miodrag, Jr.

Joseph Miodrag, Jr., 91, of Transfer, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2026, in UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Mr. Miodrag was born February 11, 1935, in Farrell, a son of the late Joseph and Lena (Vaconovich) Miodrag, and graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1953.

For 53 years, Joseph worked at Packard Electric, Warren, OH, retiring as a machine repairman in 2008.

He loved working the family farm with his brother, Jerry, in Transfer, especially when operating heavy equipment.

A hardworking man, Joseph dedicated his life to providing for his wife, children, and grandchildren.

His wife, Carolyn (Kovach) Miodrag, whom he married June 18, 1966, preceded him death on March 28, 1999.

Joseph is survived by three children, Christine Miodrag, of Sharpsville, James Miodrag (Christine), of Greenville, and Jeff Miodrag (Erin), of Sharpsville; three grandchildren, Taylor Fisher (Josh), and Tyler and Dylan Miodrag; two sisters, Natalie Gorzo and JoAnn Sylvester; a brother, Jerry Miodrag (Colette); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Joseph was preceded in death by his oldest son, Joseph “Joey” Miodrag, III; and a sister, Marie Rossi.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
