Joseph B. Marcucci

Joseph B. Marcucci, 79, of Neshannock Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday afternoon, August 2, 2026, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Mr. Marcucci was born on March 6, 1947, in New Castle, a son of the late Angelo and Helen (Melchiorre) Marcucci, and was a 1966 graduate of Neshannock High School.

Following graduation, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Air Force to proudly serve in the Vietnam War, where he served as a crew chief on the C-130 Aircraft and achieved the rank of Sgt. prior to his honorable discharge.

For over 30 years, he worked as a driver at UPS, retiring in 2003.

Joe was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish of New Castle, a member of Union Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept., and formerly a member of the Neshannock Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept.

An avid camper, his greatest joy in life was spending time with family, especially during Sunday dinner and summers at camp. Joe loved supporting his beloved grandchildren in their many endeavors.

His wife of over 55 years, Charlotte (Marshall) Marcucci, whom he married on February 20, 1971, survives at their home in Neshannock Twp.

Joe is also survived by four children, Stacy Nativio Gass (Dan), of Neshannock Twp., Nicole Barth (Tom Goodlin), of Sharpsville, Jaime Dotson (Chris), of Neshannock Twp., and Shaun Marcucci (Melissa), of Struthers, OH; eleven grandchildren, Nathan, Erica, Jeremy, Christian, Joshua, Zachary, Jenna, Tyler, Erin, Andrew, and Ashley; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Colia.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday (8-6-26) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 111 W. Falls St., New Castle.

A procession will leave the funeral home at noon on Friday (8-7-26) for St. Mary’s Church, 124 N. Beaver St., New Castle, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. with Rev. John Ferguson, presiding.

Entombment will follow in Parkside Mausoleum, Shenango Twp., where full military honors will be rendered by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
