February 8, 1975 – April 3, 2016
Joseph Karol Koscinski, of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly in the Emergency Room of UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (4-3-16) following an extensive and long battle with mental illness. He was 41.
Joe was born in Greenville, Pa. on February 8, 1975. He was one of six children to Karol P. and Betty Jane Anderson Koscinski.
A lifelong city resident, he graduated from Sharon High School in 1993.
Following high school, he studied for three years at Slippery Rock University and graduated with honors from the New Castle School of Trades as an electrician.
Joe worked for several local businesses including Premier Electric, Sharpsville.
He attended the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.
He was a loving uncle who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed rooting for the Cleveland Browns with his dad and brother, water and snow skiing as well as spending time with his family and friends.
He was highly intelligent, nurturing, fun loving, charming, and very charismatic. He loved to get a rise from people in a playful way.
He leaves his parents, his sisters, Julie Galligos and her husband Scott, Springfield, MO, Carley Baumann and her husband Marc, Springfield, VA, Karen Kirschner and her husband Brian, Valencia Ca., Annie Zajac and her husband Jacob, Sharon, and his brother, John Paul Koscinski, Farrell.
He loved his nieces and nephews dearly, Anna, Ben, Colton, Katie Grace, Alec, Carter, Brock, Kaylin Karol, Ella, William, Kieran, Marco, and Drew.
He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 p.m. Friday (4-8-16) in Notre Dame Church 2325 Highland Rd., Hermitage, with the Rev. Jeffrey J. Noble, pastor as celebrant.
Arrangements are by the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.
