Joseph P. Bruno, 211Lloydmont Dr., Wexford, PA, formerly of Elm Ave., Sharon, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was 88.
Mr. Bruno was born May 28, 1920 in Sharon, the son of Raphael and Maria DeDona Bruno. He was an alumna of Sharon High School.
He retired from the Sharon Transformer Division of the Westinghouse Electric Corporation where he worked for 45 years as a tool and die maker.
He was an active member at St. Joseph's Church, Sharon where he served as an usher for many years.
His wife, the former Rose Marie Patrick, whom he married September 25, 1943, passed away April 15, 1998.
He is survived by a daughter, Joanne Elavsky and her husband John R. Elavsky with whom he made his home for the past 10 years.
Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard 'Bennie' Bruno and three sisters, Louise Toskin, Clementine Tamber and Nardina Williams.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Tribute Program, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38104-1942.
