Jonathan Phillip Jasper, 43, of New Castle, previously of Youngstown, passed away Tuesday afternoon February 18, 2025, in UPMC Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh.
Mr. Jasper was born November 6, 1981, in Youngstown, a son of Rosalie (Woodfork) Jasper and the late Chance Evans.
Jon was a 2000 graduate of Watkins Christian Academy, Youngstown, and later attended Youngstown State University and ITT Technical Institute-Youngstown Campus.
For many years, Jon worked as a general laborer for different businesses. He was currently working as a supervisor at Stratosphere Quality, Youngstown.
Jon was a member of the Christian Assembly of Youngstown, where he controlled the sound system for services.
He enjoyed playing his Playstation, as well as listening to any genre of music, especially jazz and old R&B.
His wife, Christina (DeLucia) Jasper, whom he married on August 26, 2024, survives at home.
In addition to his wife and mother, Jon is survived by two sisters, Leslie Stevens (Randy), of Youngstown, and Ratese Price (Lawrence), of Concord, NC; a three brothers Sean Evans (Sharon), of Woodbridge, VA, and Thomas and Trent Hight; two step-sons, Christopher Cottrell, and Matthew DeLucia (Justice); and two step-grandchildren, Kamry and Kaiden Butterfield.
Calling hour will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday, (3-15-25) in Christian Assembly of Youngstown, 5050 South Ave Youngstown, OH 44512.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. in the church.
