March 21, 1941 – February 18, 2016
John P. Toth, S. Summit Road, West Salem Township, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday (2-18-16) at9:33 a.m. following a lengthy illness. He was 74.
He was born March 21, 1941 in Sharon the son of John S. and Mary Agnes Kraynok Toth.
A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Hickory High School in 1959. He also studied at what was then Youngstown University.
John worked for Pfizer and contracted with local steel mills where he worked in several capacities for 20 years throughout Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
In his youth he belonged to Church of Notre Dame in Hermitage and he later joined Sharpsville's Hickory Baptist Church where he was a deacon.
John's greatest joy was traveling out west on vacation to destinations like California, and Mexico to visit family.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be sadly missed by all.
His wife the former Yolanda Galvan Quijas whom he married May 28, 1966, survives at home.
He is also survived by a daughter Maggie Toth, Pittsburgh, a son, John G. Toth, at home, and a brother, Thomas A Toth and his wife Marge, Hermitage, two sisters, Ilona S. Kieper, and Mary E. Mihalcin, both of Sharon, and his grandson Anthony Toth, and great grandson Milo Toth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Paul H. Toth.
In lieu of flowers his family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Fund 11921 Rockville Pike Suite 300 Rockville MD 20852
