John M. Sposito of Butler, PA; formerly of Hermitage passed away following a brief illness on Monday, October 3, 2016, in Heritage Valley Health System, Beaver. He was 50.
Mr. Sposito was born August 25, 1966, in Sharon, a son of Arthur E. and Joanne Bergkessell Sposito. A longtime area resident, John attended Hickory High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army.
John was employed by the former Turner Steel, and previously worked as a delivery assistant at Wilson's Appliance, both Hermitage.
He was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church, Hermitage.
An avid reader and history buff, John also enjoyed writing poetry. He loved animals, especially dogs. John was a devout Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed watching the games on television.
Surviving are: a sister, Kathy Carroll and her husband Jeff, Sharon; three brothers, Joe Sposito, Sharon; Jim Sposito and his fiancé Denise, Hermitage; and Jeff Sposito, Sharpsville. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by a nephew, A.J. Sposito.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sharon Public Library, 11 N. Sharpsville Ave, Sharon, PA 16146.
There will be no calling hours.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
