John W. O'Rourke III of West Middlesex passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, May 6, 2015, in his home. He was 33. John was born Jan. 6, 1982, in Sharon, a son of John W. O'Rourke Jr. and Brenda Taranto O'Rourke. A lifelong area resident, he graduated from Hickory High School in 2000. He had worked as a welder for several years at the former Champion Carrier Corp., Hermitage. John currently was employed at Kraynak's in their Lawn and Garden Center, also Hermitage. John enjoyed a good round of golf and playing softball with his friends. He was a loving father and is survived by his two sons, John W. O'Rourke IV and Parker K. O'Rourke. John also is survived by his father, John W. O'Rourke, and his grandmother, Iris L. O'Rourke, both with whom he lived, and several loving uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Brenda O'Rourke; his paternal grandfather, John W. O'Rourke Sr., and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Betty Taranto. In lieu of flowers, John's family requests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral costs. . Service: A memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday (5-11-15) in J. BRADLEY McGONIGLE FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon, with the Rev. C. Charles Eckles, pastor of IHS Gospel Ministries, Hermitage, officiating. Burial: Cremation was chosen.
