John D. "Denny" McCutcheon of Sharpsville passed away at
9:53 a.m.
Saturday, April 15, 2017, in the emergency room of UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell, after an extended illness. He was 67.
Mr. McCutcheon was born October 6, 1949, in Sharon, a son of John Edward and Irene (Billen) McCutcheon. He was a graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage, and earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University. Denny served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW, both Sharpsville. A Master Electrician, he owned and operated McCutcheon Electric Service, Sharpsville, for more than 20 years and also worked at Warren (Ohio) Door and Integrated Fabrication in Sharpsville. Denny was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 712, Beaver, Pa.
Surviving is his wife of nearly 30 years, the former Martha "Marty" Caracci, whom he married December 5, 1987; a daughter, Lori Benton and her husband Michael, Sharpsville; three sons, Damon McCutcheon and his wife Sarah, Seattle, WA; Shawn Taylor and his wife Staci, Canton, GA; and Ryan McCutcheon, Atlanta; a sister, Luann Kulwicki and her husband Greg and their daughters, Jessica and Katie, Murfreesboro, TN; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Julia and Ed Dever, Sharpsville; and Judy and Joe Soloski, Farrell; and several other nieces and nephews.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents; his father- and mother-in-law, Julius and Myrtle Caracci; and a nephew, Jason Kulwicki. Denny was a good man and will be remembered by many as a lovable guy with a beautiful smile.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Sharpsville Volunteer Fire Department, 214 W. Main St., Sharpsville, PA 16150.

until the time of service on Thursday, April 20, 2017, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
