John W. Kovach, 64, of Transfer, PA, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2024, in UPMC Hamot Hospital, Erie, PA, following an extended illness.

John was born June 13, 1960, in Sharon, a son of Thomas and Katherine (Baldwin) Kovach, and was a 1978 graduate of Hickory High School in Hermitage.

A journeyman carpenter, John was a member of Carpenters Local 268, Sharon.

An avid outdoorsman and animal lover, his true passion was exploring the outdoors while hunting and fishing.

His wife, Dawnelle (Christy) Kovach, whom he married July 5, 2003, survives at home.

John is also survived by a daughter, Kayla Bonnett, Farrell; his mother, Katherine Kovach, Hermitage; and a brother, Jerry Kovach (Cathy), of Hermitage.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Kovach.
