Obituary

John David Green, 165 Flowers Ave., Sharon, passed away unexpectedly at 4:30 p.m. Monday (4-23-12) at his home of a cardiac episode. He was 48.

John was born March 5, 1963 in Sharon the son of Thomas W. and Margie A. Eagleson Green.

He graduated in 1982 from Sharon High School with honors and matriculated to Grove City College.

John lived in Silver Springs, MD, for 18 years with where he worked as an auto parts manager for Tischer Auto Parts. He was currently employed with NAPA Auto Parts, Girard, OH where he worked in the same capacity.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sharon. He belonged to several social clubs including Sons of Italy, Shenango Valley Lodge 875, Sharon, where he was President of the Bocce League; the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post # 5286, and the Slovak Home, both Farrell; John enjoyed a good round of golf and a nice cookout with his family. He also was extremely knowledgeable in regards to music trivia and he was unbeatable in a Jeopardy challenge.

His family and friends were everything to him; he loved his family trips to Florida which included his parents. John also enjoyed playing his vinyl's and having a few cocktails with his friends and family.

John married his high school sweetheart the former Tracy Ann Stainbrook Esenwein on June 14, 2003, she survives at home. Also surviving are his parents Thomas and Margie Green, Hermitage, a daughter Monica Rae Esenwein, at home, and a son Andrew Timothy Esenwein, Sharon, his two sisters, Kelly A. Baum and her husband Gary, Sharon, Shannon Black and her husband Jason, Hermitage, his brother Thomas P. Green and his wife Angie, Sharon, his best friend Michael 'Mick' Buckley, Sharon, several nieces and nephews including Allison, Abigail, Amelia Black, and Kylie Baum.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Calling hours: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, (4-26-12) and from 10:00 until the time of his funeral service on Friday (4-27-12) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday (4-27-12) in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Roberts, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Sharon officiating.
