John W. "Jack" Dout, 68, of Sharpsville passed away Wednesday evening, September 7, 2022, in Quality of Life Services, Grove City.

Jack was born March 22, 1954, in Sharon, a son of the late Lee and Dorothea (Stewart) Dout. A lifelong area resident, he was a 1973 graduate of Hickory High School in Hermitage.

An automotive and diesel mechanic, Jack also specialized in auto body repair. He retired from Austintown Dairy in 2016, and was previously employed by Gassner Brother's, Inc., Hermitage; Dean Dairy, Sharpsville; and McCandless Ford, Mercer.

With a lifelong passion for dirt track racing, Jack built and serviced many race cars throughout the years. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially having cookouts at the house.

His wife of 43 years, Judy Lynn (McLean) Dout, whom he married November 11, 1978, survives at home.

Also surviving are two daughters, Diane Stephens (Brian), Knox, PA, and Deanne Dout, Sharpsville, PA; a brother, James Dout, Hemet, CA; three grandchildren, Emma, Andrew and Levi Devine, with a fourth expected any day. His furry grandson, Zorro, also survives at home.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Robert, Claire, and Thomas.

Funeral service will be immediately following at noon, in the funeral home, with Pastor Mark Thompson, officiating.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held at his home on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, beginning at 1 p.m.
