Obituary
John DiCarlo,79,of 772 Hollow Rd. Enon Valley,passed away the morning of January 28,2010 in Beaver Medical Center.
John was born on November 22, 1930 in Hays,Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Carmella Giordano DiCarlo. He was a graduate of East Palastine high school. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a radio operator duing the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the American Legion,Monaca,PA.He was a 60 year member of the Cement Mason Union Local #526 in Pittsburgh,PA. He was of the Catholic faith
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, the former Martha Viola Gittings.Two Daughters and son-in-law,Sheila Kagan and her huusband Howard of Amarillo,Texas and Karen Lawrence of Oakdale,PA.Three Sons John "Jack" DiCarlo and his wife Theresa of Miami,Fl.,Bruce DiCarlo of South Beaver Township,Pa and Reginald "Riggie" DiCarlo of formerly of Enon Valley.Five grandchildren,Chelsea,Daniel,Patrick,Samuel,Dustin and one Great grandchild, Linus. Two Sisters, Mary F. Smith of Beaver Falls,PA and Grace Schmitz and her husband Frank of Portland,Oregon.Also surviving are his two Sisters-in law, Jean DiCarlo of South Beaver Twp. and Joy DiCarlo of La Crescenta,Calf.
A Blessing service will be held by the Rev. Victor J. Molka Jr. at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.New Castle. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery
Preceding him in death besides his parents are two brothers,Francis and Joseph DiCarlo and one sister,Josephine Smith. two Brothers-in-law, Dale and Bob Smith.
