Johanna Pease, 81, of Cortland, OH, passed away Tuesday evening, August 25, 2026, in Cortland Healthcare Center.

Ms. Pease was born on January 2, 1945, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Dominic and Marie (Ontko) Masters. She attended the former St. Joseph’s Parochial Grade School and was a 1963 graduate of Sharon High School.

Immediately following her education, she began working at the former Packard Electric Corp., Warren, OH. She remained at Packard for more than 37 years, retiring as a tow motor operator.

An animal lover, Johanna also enjoyed bowling, softball and gardening, especially flowers. She was always looking forward to getting together with her friends, whom she referred to as “The Girls,” which included herself, Nan, Roe and Rosa.

She is survived by a sister, Angeline Gerda; a brother, Thomas Masters and his wife, Linda, all of Mercer; a sister-in-law, Sherry Diurba, of Sharon; a special friend, Linda Chagnot and her husband, Chuck, of Cortland; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Johanna was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Reardon and Barbara Seaholm; and two brothers, Richard and Frank Diurba.

In keeping with Johanna’s wishes, all services are private.

Interment: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
