Obituary

Johanna C. Milich, 216 Grove St., Hermitage passed away at 5:07 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2008 at her residence following a brief illness. She was 72.
Mrs. Milich was born August 7, 1936 in Farrell the daughter of George and Mary Kovach Cherhit. She was a graduate of Farrell High School Class of 1954.
Until recently she worked at the Daffin's Candy Factory, Farrell for 36 years. She was a social member of the Patagonia Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxillary and at one time served as a Hermitage Democratic Committeewoman and volunteer for the Board of Elections. She enjoyed baking, cooking, traveling, reading and sewing. Johanna generously gave the gift of blood and throughout her lifetime donated nearly seven gallons.
Her husband of 54 years, William E. Milich, whom she married June 12, 1954 in St. Ann's Church, Farrell, survives at home. Also surviving are: a sister, Marianne Molisee, Phoenix, AZ; a son, Keith Milich and his wife Loretta, Pulaski; seven daughters, Carol Kamovitch and her husband Dennis, Brookfield, Kimberly Lobb and her husband James, Sacramento, CA, Lorraine Holiga and her husband Edward, Hermitage, Johanna Murray and her husband Timothy, Sharon, Jacqueline Greenawalt and her husband Dana, Erie, Laura Milich, Hermitage and Stacey Tegtmeier and her husband Matthew, Pittsburgh; 14 grandchildren, Stephanie and Aubrie Milich, Jeffrey Kamovitch, Natalie Lobb, Nadine Walker, Matt Holiga, Timothy, , Jonathan and Sean Murray, Zachary and Alex Greenawalt, Alexandra Teets and Aidan and Arianna ' Ginger' Tegtmeier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Stephen, John and George Cherhit; one sister, Mildred Sember and a grandson Daniel Holiga.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made the Shenango Valley Community Library, 11 N. Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, PA 16146.
