Joann M. Gilliland of 23 Williams Dr. West Middlesex passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 4:50 p.m. in Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was 64.

She was born on August 8, 1947 in Struthers, OH, the daughter of John and Ergilia Tisone Lisko.

Joann obtained her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University.

Mrs. Gilliland was employed at McKelvy's as an executive secretary for many years. Currently Joann was employed as a sales agent for Allstate Insurance Company.

She was an active member of the Church of Notre Dame. Mrs. Gilliland was a member and past officer of the Youngstown Symphony Choir. She was also very active in the Elk's Lodge 103 Sharon where she held the title of P.E.R.

Joann is survived by her husband, Donald Gilliland whom she married in 1978; a sister, Patricia and her husband Wayne Beckett of Portland, OR; a brother, John and his wife Susan Lisko of Canfield, OH. She is also survived by a nephew, John Lisko III.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown with Rev. Jeffrey J. Noble, pastor of the Church of Notre Dame.
