Jesse E. Smith, III, 33, of Sharpsville, passed away following a brief illness on Saturday, April 13, 2024, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.

Jesse was born on February 20, 1991, in Sharon, a son of Jesse E. and Catherine (Gagliardi) Smith, Jr. He was a 2009 graduate of Sharpsville High School and earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh. Later, he received his Practical Nursing License at Mercer County Career Center.

He was currently employed as an LPN for Interim Healthcare of Meadville. Jesse was a hard worker and loved being a nurse.

An animal lover, especially flamingos, he was an avid video gamer with a passion for classical music and a talented trumpet player. Jesse was also an experimental chef, but above all, he fiercely loved his family.

He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Leigha Blose (Aaron), and Ashley McCracken (Tom); his paternal grandmother, Lonnie Smith; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jesse was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary Ann and Joseph Gagliardi; his paternal grandfather, Jesse Smith, Sr.; and an aunt, Billy F. Larson and her husband Douglas.

Jesse was loved beyond all words and will be forever be missed.
