Jesse Michael Grover (also known as Jesse Bo Turner), of Sharon, PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, November 17, 2024, due to injuries sustained from a gunshot wound. He was 31.
Jesse was born in Houston, TX, to Jesse Turner, Sr. and Debra Stevenson, and at the age of two, he was adopted by Andrew Grover and Thea Arai of Greenville, PA. He grew up near the Little Shenango River alongside three sisters and one brother, and as a child, loved to watch the local birds and videos of toy trains.
Jesse graduated from Greenville High School in 2012 and settled in Sharon several years later. In 2015, he met Tabitha A. Barr, who would become his partner for the rest of his life. Jesse became close to Tabitha's children and grandchildren, made many dear friends in his new community, and had a loyal and affectionate pit bull, Brutus. Perpetually greeting the world with a smile, Jesse loved to work out, play guitar, read, cook, and listen to music, especially the blues, jazz, and reggae.
In 2023, he had the opportunity to reunite with his birth family in Texas and was overjoyed to connect with his father, two uncles, Robert Stevenson and Steve Stevenson, and two cousins.
Much beloved by many in Sharon, he was known by all for his gentle demeanor and his continual push towards self-improvement. He and his smile--worth a million words--will be forever missed and remembered.
Jesse is survived by his spouse, Tabitha A. Barr-Grover, of Sharon; his parents, Andrew Grover and Thea Arai, Green Valley, AZ; his birth father, Jesse Turner, Sr., Houston, TX; his four siblings, Leah Davydov, Ellen Devine, Joel Grover, and Hannah Gressmen; his step-children, Demarco, Malakah, Carol, Nathaniel, and Amarai; his step-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ma'Nyiah, and Dae'Shun; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends.
