Jennifer J. "Jenny" Benegasi, 44, of Shenango Twp. passed away Sunday morning, July 3, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford, PA.

Jenny was born November 29, 1971 in Hampton, Virginia, to Harry and Cathie Smith Mack, who reside in Edinburg. She graduated from Shenango High School, and later graduated from Slippery Rock University where she received her B.S. in Social Work.

Jenny was employed as a case worker at the Pennsylvania Department of Public Assistance in Rochester, PA. Jenny also worked as a counselor for many years at the former YDC as a counselor.

She enjoyed reading, and especially enjoyed playing softball in her younger years. Most importantly she enjoyed the time taking care of her daughter Riley who was the greatest joy of her life.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Riley L. Benegasi of New Castle; brother, Harry L. Mack Jr. of Hurst, Texas; and paternal step grandmother, Ruth Ann Mack of New Castle.

She is preceded in death by, paternal grandfather, Harry Mack; and maternal grandparents, Robert W. and Anna Mae Smith.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6-8: p.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
