Obituary

Jennie M. Williot, 107, of Sharon, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in Avalon Springs Place, Mercer.

Mrs. Williot was born on October 4, 1917, in York Run, (Wyoming Co.) PA, a daughter of the late Saverio "Sam" and Josephine (Volpe) Agresti. She was a 1935 graduate of Farrell High School.

Prior to becoming a homemaker, Jennie worked at the former Marini's Variety Store and the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.


Jennie was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Farrell, where she served on the Altar Rosary Society. She was honored to be the oldest member of the "Cavatelli Ladies."


She was an outstanding baker and loved making cookies for her family and friends. Jennie also enjoyed bowling and bowled and served as secretary of the "Nutty Twenties" league, which began at the former White Star Lanes, Farrell, then moved to the Buhl Club, Sharon, and finally Thorton Hall Bowling Lanes, also in Sharon.
Her husband of 77 years, Frank J. Williot, whom she married on June 6, 1941, passed away on August 26, 2018.


She is survived by a son, Gene L. Williot and his wife Patty, of Brookfield, OH; three grandchildren, Susan Johnson and her husband Kenny, of Masury, Patrick Vigliotti (Williot), of Girard, OH, and Frank Williot, of Brookfield; three great-grandchildren, Rachael Williot, of Sharpsville, Mitchell Bartz, of East Palestine, OH, and Jynger Vigliotti, of Akron, OH; a great-great-grandson, Gianni Gargiulo, of Sharpsville; and a sister-in-law, Helen DiTullio, of Youngstown. Also surviving is a dear friend and caregiver, Beverly Palermo, of Sharon.


In addition to her parents and husband, Jennie was preceded in death by a granddaughter-in-law, Kelly Vigliotti; seven sisters, Congetta DeMarco Salandria, Catherine Trotta, Mildred DiGirolamo, Angeline Guerriero, Rose Agresti, Maryanne Pallante and Antionette "Toni" Clemente; and two brothers, Paul and Nick Agresti.


The family would like to thank the staff at Avalon Springs Place for the exceptional care given to Jennie during her stay. Memorial contributions be directed to Avalon Springs Place, 745 Greenville Rd., Mercer, PA 16137.


Calling hour will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday (02/06/2025)in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 601 Roemer Blvd., Farrell.


Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, in the church, with Rev. Glenn Whitman, pastor, as celebrant.


Interment: St. Anthony's Cemetery, Hermitage.
