Jennie M. Davies, formerly of Sharon, passed away peacefully at 11:40 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017, in St. John XXIII Home, Hermitage. She was 97.

Mrs. Davies was born October 9, 1919, in Sharon, a daughter of Samuel and Maria Russo Yannerilla. She is a lifelong area resident and attended Sharon Schools.

Jennie was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family, particularly her three children.

She was a lifelong member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon.

Her husband, John "Jack" Davies, passed away in 1959.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine "Jean" Landa and her husband Joseph, Newton Falls, OH; a son, James Coyne, Sharon; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her husband, Jennie was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ted Davies; three sisters, her twin Catherine Vitale, Anna Steel, and Tressa Carroll, and a brother, Martin R. Yannerilla.

Calling hour will be from noon until the time of service Monday (2-6-17) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State Street, Sharon.

Blessing service will be 1 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Henry Andrae, pastor, Church of the Sacred Heart, officiating.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date.

Interment: St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
