Obituary

Jeanette E. Carroll, 121 Victory Dr., Sharpsville, passed away at 5 p.m. Wednesday (11-3-10) in her home after a brief illness. She was 72.

Mrs. Carroll was born July 30, 1938 in Lincoln , Nebraska a daughter of the late Charles F. and Velma Likes Keech.

She was a 1956 graduate of Lincoln ( Nebraska ) North East High School and moved to the Shenango Valley in the late 1970's.

Jeanette retired from Automatic Vendors Food Service (AVI), Sharon, where she was employed for ten years.

She was a wonderful homemaker and most happy when she was with her family. Jeanette bowled in a league at Sunset Lanes in Farrell and enjoyed gardening, traveling, vacationing at the ocean and home decorating. She was an avid reader, particularly novels, and loved her many pet dogs throughout her life.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.

Her first husband and father to her children, Donald Morris is deceased.

Her second husband, James R. Carroll, Sr., whom she married Dec. 31, 1977, passed away Jan. 13, 2006.

Surviving are: three daughters, Angela K. Taylor and her husband Donald, Sharon ; Lora E. Emph, Sheakleyville, PA ; and Lisa S. Ohl, Sharon ; a son, Donald D. Morris and his wife Risa, Arvada, Colorado; a brother, Carl Keech and his wife Sandy, Lincoln, Nebraska; nine grandchildren, Lea Baker, Charles and Amanda Morris; Michael Emph; Ransom and Kaitlin Ohle; Aaron and Lelah Ohl; and Mia Guerino; and two great grandsons, Asa Taylor and Luca Baker.

Besides her parents and husbands, Jeanette was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Emph, whom she missed dearly.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sharon Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, 2320 Highland Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148; or to the Shenango Valley Community Library, 11 N. Sharpsville Ave, Sharon, PA 16146.

Calling hours will be from 3-6 p.m. Monday (11-8-10) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon .

Margaret Carson, New Castle, passed away Monday in the Overlook Medical Center, New Wilmington following an extended illness. She was 63.

She was born on January 1, 1947 in New Castle, the daughter of Leo A. and Earlene Wood Carson.

She graduated from New Castle High School.

Margaret lived in California in her earlier years where she had worked as a Quality Control Inspector prior to moving back to New Castle.

She attended St. Mary's Church.

She was a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed cooking, reading, and shopping.

A veteran, she was honorably discharged from the United States Army on April 25, 1966.

She is survived by her two sisters, Lea Anne Passerrello, and Kathleen Carson both of New Castle, a brother Richard Carson of Tallmadge, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William and James Carson, and an infant sister, Marlene Carson.

In keeping with Margaret's wishes, the family will hold private graveside services with military honors provided by the New Castle Honor Guard.
