Jay A. Runk

Jay A. Runk, 60, of Shenango Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in his home.

Mr. Runk was born on December 3, 1965, in Denver, CO, a son of Robert Runk and Helen J. (Reiber) Runk Lee. Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.

For several years, Jay worked as a sous chef for numerous restaurants while living in Alaska.

A talented musician, he enjoyed playing the guitar, composing music, and writing songs.

His mother, Helen J. Lee, with whom he shared a home, passed away on the same day, March 31, 2026.

Jay is survived by an uncle, Lewis “Dennis” Reiber, and his wife, Paula, of Hermitage.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Runk.
