Jason Eric Whiteman, 50, of Hubbard, OH, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, in Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Jason was born on February 25, 1974, in Farrell, a son of the late Thomas D. Whiteman and Margaret J. (Sincich) Test. He was a 1992 graduate of Hickory High School and served in the US Army.

Jason worked several years as a bartender and more recently until he was unable to work was employed by Amazon, Cleveland, OH.

He was a member of the American Legion, Post 299, Sharon, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3767, and the Marconi Club, both in Hubbard.

An avid pool player, Jason was a lifetime member of the APA. He also had a passion for fishing, golfing and spending time with his dog.

He is survived by a daughter, Dariann Long, of  Sharpsville; his lifelong partner, Shannon McKee; two stepdaughters, Cesily Pollock, of Brookfield and Shawna Taylor (Commodore), of Austintown; four grandchildren, Alexa Pollock, Aria Pollock, C.J. Taylor, & Nova Taylor;  his mother, Margaret Test, of Hermitage; a brother, Aaron Whiteman (Melissa,) of Virginia; his sister, Jenny Test, of Pittsburgh; and two step-brothers, Marc Test (Loretta), of Sharpsville, and Craig Test (Pam), of Hermitage.

In addition to his father, Jason was preceded in death by his stepfather, Thomas Test.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Sharon American Legion, 1395 E State Street, Sharon, PA 16146.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m.  Wednesday (07/03/2024) at Eastgate Christian Church, 240 Church St., Sharpsville.
