Jason Lee Sims, 52, of New Castle, passed away surrounded by his family early Thursday morning, May 8, 2025, in his residence, after an extended illness.

Mr. Sims was born August 25, 1972, in Columbia, TN, a son of Debbie (Finley) Myers, she survives at home in Tennessee. He attended both New Castle and Shenango High Schools.

Jason worked for many years as a machinist for Consolidated Glass, Mahoningtown.

An avid sports fan, Jason particularly was a fan of wrestling and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed listening to early 2000's rock, metal, and alternative music. Jason had a smile that would light up any room he entered, and his funny sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need will be remembered fondly by his children.

In addition to his mother, Jason is survived by his father, John Glasser, TN; a son, Austin Sims, New Castle; a daughter, Izabella Sims, New Castle; his ex-wife, Melissa Sims, New Castle; a brother, John "JR" Glasser (Angie), TN; two sisters, Jennifer Scott, and Julie Foster, both of TN; a cousin, Anna Disman, New Castle; an aunt, Cathy Odom, TN; and an adopted brother, Bill Myers, New Castle.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.
