Janet J. White, 76, of West Fairmont Avenue passed away on Tuesday morning, April 14, 2015, in Golden Hill Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was born on Aug. 15, 1938, in New Castle to the late David and Ethel Potts Jones. Janet was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of New Castle High School. She is survived by her son, David L. White and his fiancée, Pam Carter, of New Castle; two sisters, Ethel Schuler and Alberta (Gene) Denglar, both of New Castle; two brothers, David Jones and Bob (Margie) Jones, both of Ohio; one granddaughter, Krysta White of New York, N.Y.; her longtime friend and companion, Lenny Leonhardt; and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by three sisters, Delores Jones, Edith Hunter, and Ruth Haldie. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Dennis Bupp at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Castle View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. 111 W.
