Janet B. Mucroski, 90, of Hermitage, passed away Thursday morning, May 4, 2023, in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Mucroski was born on January 11, 1933, in Sharon, a daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys E. (Dresch) Sherwood. She was a 1951 graduate of Sharon High School.

Following graduation, she worked in the office of the former Sharon Transformer Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp.

On December 31, 1954, she married the love of her life, Henry Mucroski, he survives at home.

Upon becoming a wife and mother, Janet dedicated her life to being the best homemaker possible. She enjoyed sewing and knitting and was thrilled to be a grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Janet was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, Hermitage. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two sons, Marc H. (Vicki) Mucroski, West Middlesex, and Douglas R. (Sherri) Mucroski, Howland, OH; two grandchildren, Kyle Henry and Emily Anne Mucroski; and two sisters, Carol Alderman and Judy Workens, both of Sharon.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra Ann Mucroski.

Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home, with Rev. Curt Gordon, pastor of Sharon Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment: Morefield Cemetery, Hermitage.
