Obituary

Jane Moses Beshero, 93, of New Castle, surrounded by her family who adored her, met her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 21 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Alexander Richard Beshero. Jane was the daughter of Joseph and Raffo Katrib Moses and sister of the late John, Anthony, Albert, James, George, Donald and Sophie Moses. Her siblings, Edward, Julia and Mary survive. Throughout Jane's life, she maintained a sweet and loving demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing, love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter and care for others, will never be forgotten. When Jane was 17, she married the love of her life, Alexander Beshero. She was introduced to him by Mrs. Sultana Joseph, Alex's sister. After some years, Jane and Alex with John Moses (Jane's brother and Alex's best friend) began their business adventures. She was constantly at the side of her husband, Alex, and the Beshero and Moses families. Jane dedicated herself to the success of their business adventures - the A&M Supermarkets and Westgate Plaza. Faith in God, Jesus, The Blessed Mother, Mary, and the Saints, especially St. John the Baptist, was the essence of Jane's world. She was actively involved, along with many other outstanding men and women, in building St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church in New Castle and Our Lady Lebonon Shrine in Ohio. Jane had also served as president of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. John. Her best friend, Mrs. Mary (Moodah) Gabriel, supported each other in their goal of making the Maronite Catholic Church a place of worship for all. Jane was a loving mother and teacher to her children. Her family includes her son, Charles Beshero and his late wife, Gloria; and her daughters, Karen Haas and her husband, James, and Alexis Dellaverson and her husband, Richard. Jane's grandchildren are Gregory Beshero, Dr. Elisa Beshero-Bondar, Alexandra Haas, Jane Haas, Adrienne Miller, Dr. Allison Woodhouse, AliciaMeasel and Alexander Dellaverson. Great-grandchildren are Brett Beshero, Blake Beshero, Joseph Miller, Christopher Miller, Gemma Miller, Dominic Miller, Luke Woodhouse, Isabella Woodhouse, Sophia Woodhouse, Jacob Woodhouse, Elizabeth Woodhouse, Abigale Measel, Gregory Measel and Anna Mease. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, 111 W. Falls St., where the Rev. Claude W. Franklin Jr., pastor of St. John the Baptist Maronite Church, will conduct an incense service at 7 p.m. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, for St. John the Baptist Maronite Church, where a funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev. Franklin will officiate. Rite of committal will take place at St. Vitus Chapel. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum at St. Vitus Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Jane's name to St. John the Baptist Maronite Catholic Church, 2 W. Reynolds St. New Castle, Pa. 16101; or the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 N.
