James L. Warsing, 88, of Neshannock Twp. passed away peacefully Saturday evening, June 13, 2026, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.
Mr. Warsing was born May 11, 1938, in New Castle, a son of the late Thomas and Mildred (Horvwalt) Warsing, and graduated from New Castle High School in 1956.
Jim honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, from 1956 to 1958.
For over 30 years, he worked as a welder at Mesta Machine Company in New Castle.
Jim was a longtime member of Second Presbyterian Church in New Castle.
Jim was a man known for his unwavering integrity and honor. He was the definition of a family man who prioritized his wife, Barbara, daughter, Lori, and son, John. Jim treasured his three granddaughters more than anything else in his life. He was the quintessential Pittsburgh sports fan who even caught Mike Easler’s first home run at Three Rivers Stadium with his bare hands.
Jim spent his golden years residing in Florida for 20 years before returning to his hometown of New Castle, PA. His days were spent creating beautiful gardens, playing with his beloved dogs, bird watching, and enjoying Pittsburgh sports or a good NASCAR Race Day.
His beloved wife of 65 years, Barbara (Book) Warsing, whom he married on February 10, 1961, survives at home in Neshannock Twp.
Jim is also survived by his daughter, Lori Warsing Allen (Ken), of Neshannock Twp.; John T. Warsing (Lauren), of Miami, FL; three granddaughters, Sydney, Olivia, and Sophia Warsing; a sister, Judy White (Ron), Naples, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
