James L. Stefanick, West Middlesex, Pa., passed away at 8:35 a.m. on Thursday (5-26-11) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System following an brief illness. He was 56.

A lifelong area resident, he was born in Hermitage on November 30, 1954 and graduated from Hickory High School in 1973. His parents were Raymond J. and Evelyn Sheffield Stefanick.

In his early years, Jim had worked as the superintendant of maintenance for his family's Trailer park, Oak Leaf Estates, Shenango Township.

He was a long time member of AA.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Stefanick, Sun City, AZ; two sisters, Elaine Guest and her husband W. Ronnie Guest also of Sun City, and Shirley J. Schutte and her husband Charles of Huntington Beach, CA; a brother, Jerry R. Stefanick and his wife Kimberly, Voluntown CT; two nieces, Kendra Fryman, Shayna Dehner, and Candy Goda; and one nephew, Scott Eskridge.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services: A prayer service for family and friends will be held at 5:00 p.m. Friday (5-27-11) at his home, 310 Campground Rd., Shenango Township, with Rev. Dominic Verdell, associate pastor of Grace Chapel Community Church officiating.
