Obituary
James A. Sherwood, Beaver Falls, formerly of Sharon, passed away Monday, June 14, 2016, in his residence. He was 59.
Mr. Sherwood was born January 27, 1957, in Sharon, a son of Stanley and Doris E. Sturdy Sherwood, Jr. He was raised in Sharon and was a 1975 graduate of Sharon High School. James was employed by Crossroads Shelter of Beaver County, where he worked as a coordinator. Previously, he worked as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor at the Alcohol Clinic of Youngstown.
James married the love of his life, the former Ann Mary Borkowski on August 16, 1986, and she preceded him in death on May 30, 2010.
He is survived by: one daughter, Kira Jean Sherwood; three grandchildren Cadon, Natalia and Essence; and his sister-in-law, Carole Borkowski, Hermitage. Also surviving is his cat, Sammy, whom he cherished for bringing so much joy into his life.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 25, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ's Evangelical Church, 409 11 th St., Beaver Falls, PA 15010. Services will be officiated by Rev. Kimberly Rapczak, Rev. Patrice Weirick and Rev. Steve Brotzman.Arrangements by J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
