James A. Rice, Jr., 69, of West Middlesex, passed away Monday morning, February 26, 2024, with his family by his side in Sharon Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Rice was born July 13, 1954, in Hermitage, a son of the late James A. Rice Sr., and Katherine (Steindurf) Rice and was a 1972 graduate of Hickory High School. After high school, James enlisted in the United States Army Reserves.

He was a hardworking man and worked his entire career in construction.

James was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed watching and taking part in auto racing.

His wife of 38 years, the former Linda Reiter, whom he married December 7, 1985, survives at home.

He is also survived by a daughter, Heather Richards (Craig), Hubbard, OH.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a sister, Dee Russell; and a brother, Rick Rice.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no services.
