James "Jim" F. Patterson, Sharon, passed away at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the hospital of the Sharon Regional Health System.  He was 67.

Jim was born September 13, 1948 in Sharon, the son of Robert A. and Charlott Kloss Patterson.

A lifelong area resident, he was a 1966 graduate of Sharon High School.

His wife, the former Linda Osborne, whom he married February 14, 1970, passed away January 30, 2002.

Jim was employed by Falcon Trucking for many years until his retirement in 2006.

He was of the Baptist Faith.

Jim enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He was a devoted family man and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.  Jim raised two of his grandsons, Devin and Christopher, as his own after the passing of their mother.  Jim was the cornerstone of his family, and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by one daughter, Amanda Bistransin and her husband, Mike, Sharpsville; one sister, Sandra Patterson Morris, Brookfield, Oh; four grandchildren, Devin and Christopher Patterson, and  Ariona and Kaleb Bistransin; one great grandson, Carter Patterson .  He is also survived by two brothe r-in-l aws, Bruce Taylor, and Kevin Taylor and his wife, Sonia.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Jim was preceded in death by his daughter Regina L. Patterson; a brother, Edward A. Patterson; and a sister, Roberta A. Patterson.

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. until the time of service, Friday (3/25/2016) in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.

Services:  11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. C. Charles Eckles, Pastor of I.H.S. Gospel Ministries, Hermitage, officiating.
