James G. McLusky, 1521 Griswold St., Hermitage, was lifted up to the Lord at 8:24 p.m. Saturday (12-19-09) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System with his family by his side, following an extended illness. He was 74.
Mr. McLusky was born November 1, 1935 in Duryea, PA a son of James A. and Matilda Wywiorski McLusky.
He moved to Sharon in 1944 and was a 1954 graduate of Sharon High School.
Jim retired as a millwright in 1997 from the former Sawhill Tubular Products-Division of Cyclops Wheatland plant where he was employed for 42 years.
He was an active member of the Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and was actively involved in the Cursillo movement. An avid bowler, Jim was a member of the Mercer County Bowling Association for more than twenty years and belonged to many leagues during this time. Jim was a member of the Shenango Valley Kennel Club and, along with his children, raised and bred boxers for many years. He served with the United States Marine Corp. immediately following his high school graduation.
Surviving are: his loving wife of 49 years, the former Delphina M. Molinari, whom he married September 3, 1960; two daughters, Judy M. Sabulsky and her husband Victor Sabulsky, Jr., Hubbard, Ohio; and Jill A. Brzezinski and her husband Cory Brzezinski, Sharon; a son, James N. McLusky and his wife Kristine, West Middlesex; nine grandchildren, Leah, Joshua James and Hannah McLusky; Saige Campbell; Nicholas, Dominic and Vincent Buzin; Mia Marie Daly; and Gianna Rose Sabulsky; and a sister, Charlotte Shumate and her husband Harry, Hermitage.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (12-23-09) in Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage. Everyone is to go directly to the church.
