James H. "Herb" Knox of 29 Charles St. Clark, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in the afternoon at his residence. He was 58.
Mr. Knox was born in Moundsville, WV. on August 20, 1951, a son of James P. and Ida Huff Knox.
He moved to the area as an infant and was a 1969 graduate of Hickory High School.
James was a truck driver for Overnite Trucking in Masury, OH for more than 10 years. He previously was employed at Chevron in Jefferson Township for approximately 15 years. He enjoyed singing karaoke and years ago was a vocalist in a rock and roll band. He was a weight lifter for many years and loved being outside in the sun. James also enjoyed Fishing and traveling to the beach every year.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hermitage and years ago was a Sunday School Instructor at the church.
He is survived by; His wife, Linda D. (Dent) Knox, whom he married October 18, 1975; a daughter Danielle R. Knox of Richmond, VA; a son Cory J. Knox of Clark, PA; 2 sisters, Donna Knox and Patty Knox both of Staunton, VA;
Mr. Knox was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146.
A funeral service will be on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 8 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Martin, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, Hermitage.
Internment: Cremation will take place in the Funeral Home Crematory.
