James J. Gagliardi of Sharon passed away unexpectedly at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, after a brief illness.
He was 60.
Jim was born May 4, 1956, in Sharon, a son of Vincent James and Irene (Geletka) Gagliardi.
He attended the former St. Ann's Parochial Grade School, Farrell, and was a 1975 graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage.
Jim was employed by the City of Hermitage and Valley Plumbing, Sharon.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Sharon.
Jim was very involved with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) for more than twenty-five years and was highly regarded as a support coach and sponsor.
Surviving are: a sister, Karen J. Biros and her husband Tom, Matthews, NC; a brother, Richard V. Gagliardi and his wife Sharon, Masury, Ohio; three nieces, Susan Price and her husband Raymond, Masury, and their children, Taylor and Cody; Diana Swanson, Charlotte, NC; and Kylie Swanson Hoyle and her husband Taylor, Raleigh, NC; a nephew, Anthony J. Gagliardi and his wife Melissa, Hubbard, Ohio, and their children, Claire and Anthony II; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
