James "Jim" Fender, Sr., 76, of West Middlesex, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, in his home.
Mr. Fender was born May 24, 1942, in Washington, PA, a son of Roy "Buck" Fender and Wilma (Plants) Fender. He attended Washington Area High School and served in the US Army.
Jim was employed for 22 years by Wheatland Tube Co., where he began in the shipping department and retired from the coupling department in 1992. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, Local #1660, Hermitage.
Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle and taking trips to the casino.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Mahood, whom he married July 20, 1967; a daughter, Danielle Fender, of Hermitage; a son, James Fender, Jr., of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Rae Tantlinger and her husband Eddie, of Las Vegas, NV; and a half-sister, Jessica Hotaling and her husband Robert, of Aberdeen, MD.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Roy "Buck" Fender, his mother, Wilma McCready; and two brothers, his twin, Roy "Skip" and William "Bill" Fender.
