Obituary

Jacob Conrad Troutman, Jr., 81, of Sharon, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Quality Life Services, New Castle.

Mr. Troutman was born March 3, 1944, in Sharon, a son of the late Jacob Conrad and Isabel Frances (Reeves) Troutman and was a 1962 graduate of Sharon High School. Upon graduation, Jacob joined the United States Army Reserve and proudly served until 1965. He would go on to attend the Shenango Valley Business School, where he would earn his associate's degree in business.

A millwright by trade, Jacob was employed for more than 40 years at Sharon Steel's former Farrell plant.

An avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, Jacob passionately supported his teams, especially showing his support by coaching his sons' little league and senior league teams in the Pymatuning baseball league. He enjoyed taking part in bowling leagues at Sunset Lanes, Farrell, and in the Basilone golf league at Tam O' Shanter Golf Course. Jacob was very proud to be from the city of Sharon and would let everyone know just how proud he was if given the opportunity.

Jacob, above all, loved his family, and he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren the most.

He is survived by three sons, Jacob "Jack" Troutman III (Cheryl), Pittsburgh, Thomas Troutman, Lake in the Hills, IL, and Robert Troutman, Wampum; a daughter, Amelia Troutman, Pittsburgh; a step son, Robert Brenneman, Neshannock Twp.; four granddaughters, Gloryanna Blount, Gillian Blount, Alice Troutman, and Scarlett Troutman; and the love of his life, of over 30 years, his fiancé, Patricia Brenneman, New Castle.

In addition to his parents, Jacob was preceded in death by, a sister, Patsy McCauley; and a step son, Todd Brenneman.

Memorial contributions may be directed, in Jacob's name, to Pirates Charities, 115 Federal Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
