Jackie L. Palmer of Linden St, Sharon. Passed away at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Sharon Regional Health System. He was 63.

Mr. Palmer was born in New Castle, PA on March 18, 1947, a son of Alfred and Mary Elizabeth Peters Gardner.

He was a graduate of New Castle High School.

Jackie was a professional billiards player and a former member of the American Billiards Association. Not only did he love to play the game he also taught many people how to play pool and was the owner and operator of the New Castle Billiards Club for many years. Besides being a professional billiards player, he also was a very creative artist.

Survivors include: his companion of 20 years, Kathy Chomor, with whom he made his home; a son, Nicholas Palmer of Sharon, PA; 2 daughters, Jodi and her husband Aaron Evans of Greenville, PA, and Jackie and her husband Justin Ramsey of Sharon, PA; a brother, Robert and his wife Nancy Palmer of New Castle, PA; 5 grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Gabriella and Dylan Evans, Justin and Melanie Ramsey; 2 nephews, Ethan and Elliot Palmer.

Besides his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by a brother Russell Palmer.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Charles C. Eckles pastor of the I.H.S. Gospel Ministries.
