Obituary

Jack Lee Edwards, Jr., West Middlesex, PA, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes due to an acute coronary artery thrombosis while working Saturday morning (10-2-10) in Clarion County. He was 22.

Jack was born October 23, 1987 in Sharon a son of Jack Lee Edwards, Sr. and Pamela J. Fauceglia Edwards.

He graduated in 2006 with honors from West Middlesex High School and received his bachelor's degree from Clarion (PA) University this past May. Jack liked all sports, particularly football, and was a tremendous athlete. He was a three year letterman and co-captain his senior year for the West Middlesex Big Red's football team; a member of the high school baseball team for three years and participated in track as the shot put and javelin thrower. During college, he was a member of the Clarion University Rugby team. Since graduating from college, Jack worked in a residential treatment program for severely challenged adults in Clarion County.

For such a young man, Jack portrayed many qualities often not found at his age. He was extremely responsible, goal oriented, a hard worker and a man of good character. He was also funny, loving, caring (traveling home each weekend to see his mother and grandmother) and brought joy and happiness to many with his beautiful smile and blue eye's.

He enjoyed playing poker with friends and family, hunting, fishing, video games, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and billiards and chess with his dad. He also loved animals. Although he was a man of few words, Jack was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by his loving family and all that knew him. May he rest in peace.

Surviving are: his mother and grandmother, Evelyn Fauceglia, both Shenango Township; his father, Hubbard, Ohio; a brother, Edward Raymond F. Edwards and his girlfriend, Michelle Munnal, both Hermitage; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday (10-5-10) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State St., Sharon.
