Iva Jean Schrumpf of Euclid Ave., Sharon, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:50 a.m. in Sharon Regional Health Systems. She was 88. Mrs. Schrumpf was born on December 23, 1926 in Sharon, the daughter of Myron George and Stella Hillkirk Sprow. She attended Sharon High School. Following high school, Iva was employed for Bell Telephone for a brief period of time. Mrs. Schrumpf was employed for over 20 years at the former Whitmer Smith Store, Sharon retiring when it closed. She was a loving homemaker and took pride in having a clean home and enjoyed dusting every day. Earlier in life she enjoyed bowling with her husband. Her husband Robert F. Schrumpf, whom she married September 4, 1943, passed away on January 26, 1993. She is survived by a son, Donald Gregory Schrumpf of Sharon; 5 grandchildren, Melissa Kazi of Boston, Meghan Romig of Hermitage, Mark Schrumpf of Erie, Christy Nyakana of West Middlesex, and Bobby Schrumpf of California; 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Iva was preceded in death by 2 sons, Robert and Tim Schrumpf; a daughter, Cheryl Romig; 3 brothers, George, Louis and Edward Sprow; 2 sisters, Gladys Bennett and Myrtle Maybe. Calling hours will be on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. 1090 E. State St. Sharon, PA 16146. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Morefield Cemetery
