Irene Niemiec of Casselberry, Florida previously residing on Griswold Street, Sharon, PA passed away on June 18th, 2017.
Mrs. Irene Niemiec was born on September 13th, 1922, in Farrell, PA, to John and Stephanie Siborski Ciechacki. Her adopted parents were Walter & Marcella Kacerski.
When living in Sharon, she was an active member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, a member of the Ladies of Charity, and a member of the Polish National Alliance. She worked at the A & P for many years as a cashier and also at J.C. Penney's & Farrell Baking Company as a clerk.
Her husband, Ted Niemiec, passed away on September 2nd, 1989. Her sisters Dolores Amoroso, Jean Listopad and her brother, John Chase, preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Stephanie Elliott of Winter Springs, Florida and Debbie Giordano & her husband Louie of Casselberry, Florida. Also her sister Phyllis Korab and brother Raymond Kacerski, one grandson Louis Giordano, Jr. & his wife Heather, one great granddaughter, Munroe Giordano, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 11 to 12:30 p.m. Friday ( 06/23/2017 ) in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State St., Sharon.
A prayer service will be held at 12:30 p.m. , in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 370 Spruce Ave., Sharon, with Rev. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor, as celebrant.
Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Hermitage, PA.
